NEW CHAMBER PARKING LOT POLICY

As you are aware, the Chamber rents the parking lot at the northeast corner of N. Central and W. Devon Avenues.  The parking lot has always been intended for the exclusive use of patrons of Edgebrook businesses, not business owners, their employees or METRA passengers.

The Chamber’s towing service began towing unauthorized cars from the parking lot on Monday, June 16, 2008 and four cars have already been removed.  Please remember, a two-hour maximum parking limit is being strictly enforced (between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM each day (Sunday through Monday).  Overnight parking is also is being strictly enforced and cars found in the parking lot after 12:00 AM (midnight) will also be towed.  Please adhere to the above parking lot restrictions noted above and do not have your car towed. Please respect other shoppers and their right to use the parking lot for their needs.

GOLF OUTING RECAP

The chamber’s annual Golf Outing, held on June 18th at the Poplar Creek Golf Course, was attended by 125 participates who enjoyed a glorious day in the sun!  Some good golfing was exhibited and the buffet luncheon was out of this world.  The silent auction also was a big success.  This multi-chamber sponsored event is another way to showcase your business and provides you with another a great networking opportunity.  Next year I am sure more Edgebrook businesses will participate and have some fun in the process. Hats off to the Janita Tucker from the Peterson Business & Industrial Council, Dawn D’Amico from the Pulaski Elston Business Association and Jackie Boland from the Sauganash Chamber of Commerce for coordinating this event!

CITY OF CHICAGO LITTER NOTICE

Each year, the City of Chicago spends millions of dollars to clean-up litter.  Refuse causes neighborhoods and business districts to look rundown and deteriorated.  The City has implemented an aggressive anti-littering program and you can download it at: www.cityofchicago.org/streetsandsanitation.

2009 BOARD OF DIRECTORS’ ELECTIONS
